Last updated: August 13, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of leadville.co (the "Site"), operated by the owner of this Site ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Informational purposes only
All content on the Site, including weather, air quality, snowpack and river data, altitude information, trip-planning guides, race-related information, and the daily brief, is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes professional advice of any kind, including medical, safety, travel, legal, or financial advice. You should not act or refrain from acting on the basis of any content on the Site without seeking appropriate professional advice.
2. No medical advice
The Site discusses high-altitude environments and related health topics. This information is general and educational; it is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for the advice, diagnosis, or treatment of a qualified physician or other licensed healthcare provider. High altitude affects individuals differently and can cause serious or life-threatening illness. Consult your doctor before traveling to high altitude or undertaking strenuous activity, particularly if you have any medical condition, are pregnant, or take medication. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on this Site. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency care immediately.
3. Assumption of risk, outdoor recreation
Travel to and recreation in high-altitude and backcountry environments, including hiking, running, cycling, skiing, climbing, boating, and driving on mountain roads, involves inherent and significant risks, including severe injury and death. Conditions in the mountains change rapidly and without warning. You are solely responsible for your own safety, for evaluating current conditions using official sources, for your own preparation, equipment, and skill, and for all decisions you make. By using the Site, you acknowledge these risks and agree that we have no responsibility for any decision you make or action you take in reliance on Site content.
4. Conditions data, accuracy not guaranteed
Weather, air quality, river, snow, and similar data displayed on the Site is sourced from third-party and government feeds (including NOAA/NWS, EPA, USGS, and USDA) and is frequently provisional, delayed, estimated, or subject to revision. We do not verify this data and make no representation or warranty that any data on the Site is accurate, complete, or current. The Site must not be used as the sole basis for any safety-related decision. Always check official sources, including the National Weather Service, local authorities, land managers, CDOT, and event organizers, before making plans that depend on conditions.
